Welland Social Space and Library
Welland Social Space and Library (also known as 'Books and a Brew') can be found in the Small Room of Welland Village Hall. A place to meet up with friends, and also access useful services including Worcestershire Libraries.
Welland Social Space and Library is open:
Mondays: 2:30pm – 4:30pm
Wednesdays: 8:30am – 12:30pm
Thursdays: 10am-12noon
Third Saturday in each month 10am-12noon
(Please note, we are closed on Bank Holidays and Christmas week)
Serving people in Welland and the surrounding villages including the Hanleys, Welland’s Social Space and Library offers a lovely space to meet up with friends for a coffee, and also to access important services without having to travel to Malvern or Upton.
On offer all year round is a “Help yourself” table of hot & cold drinks & biscuits, free high speed wifi, popular “Magazine Swap” table, kids colouring activities, lego and board games, and access to most of Worcestershire library’s services (you can even return books that you have borrowed from any of the other libraries in Worcestershire).
In addition, through the year, there is a programme of special events, including activities and competitions for children, and also valuable opportunities to access useful services right here within the village, such as those provided by Citizen’s Advice, Age UK and West Mercia Police. Information about these will be available on the Parish Council website’s News page and its Facebook site as well as on posters on the village hall and village notice board next to the shop.
All are welcome at Welland Social Space and Library – you don’t have to be a member of the library to come along.
On rare occasions, the Social Space and Library may need to close at other times. In all these cases advance notice will be provided if possible on the Welland Parish Council’s Facebook page and also via a notice on the door to save disappointment.
