Excellent Environment Event Enjoyable to Everybody!

Thank you to everybody who attended our first Welland Environment Day. We had a great turnout and a lot of fun!

Published: 25 February 2025

Our wonderful environment day was made possible by grant funding from Malvern Hills National Landscape, with additional funding from Christine Wild for the refreshments.

There was an excellent display from Wren’s Birds of Prey, who brought along a tawny owl, barn owl and little owl for children to meet and hold. There was also the opportunity to dissect owl pellets to find out what they’d been eating! The owls were such a huge success that we have invited the team back to our Summer Bash!

There were a number of different activities on offer, all designed to promote an interest in nature and the environment. These included making birdfeeders in teacups, making butterfly and bee water stations, making animals out of lego, collage making, colouring in, and of course nature-themed biscuit decorating!

We are hugely grateful to all of the volunteers who gave up their time to make this event possible.
