As anticipated in recent newsletters and as discussed at recent Parish Council meetings, the company that has been in discussion about improving our mobile phone signals has now notified the district council of their plan to erect a mast that will enable providers to offer good 5G coverage to Welland and neighbouring parishes.
The notification takes the form of a planning application number M/25/00247/TC.
At an extraordinary meeting on 27th February the Parish Council resolved to respond to the planning application expressing that it strongly supports the proposed development and strongly recommends approval.
The Parish Council’s detailed response has been posted on the District Council’s Planning website where all other details of the application are set out for you to read.
The Parish Council would encourage all local residents, businesses and visitors to express their own support for this plan to improve the infrastructure that has become a vital part of life today. This is a real opportunity to have your say. For guidance on how to navigate the planning website, see the attached document.
