Welland Against Food Waste

A new initiative in 2025, thanks to the support of Marks & Spencer and volunteer Martin Lawrence. There is a free food giveaway at 10am on Sunday mornings of surplus M&S food that would otherwise go to landfill. It’s generally fresh food such as milk, bread, pastries, chilled ready meals and salads that’s still within its “Use By” date. 

This usually takes place in the Parish Hall. Occasionally the venue changes to St James Church. The food tends to go quickly so it’s advisable to be there promptly at 10am.
