Ebike to work scheme

Are you limiting your work or education choices because of transport problems?

Transport options are often more limited for people living or working in rural areas of the Malvern Hills District as bus services are often not available for commuting times and not everyone can afford to own and run a car.

This is a particularly difficult issue for young people starting apprenticeships, work or training. The cost of cars and car insurance is out of reach in those first few years.

This scheme provides these young people with an Electric Bike(Ebike) to solve their transport problems.

The cost of the purpose built Ebikes is £15 per week (£65/calendar month with a minimum loan of 3 months). For the conversion it is £9 per week (£30/calendar month) and a minimum of 24 months. Both schemes will allow the applicant to put the hire cost towards purchasing the Ebike if that is their preference. You also get the necessary accessories like helmet and hi-vis vest, lock, panniers, stand and lights.

It has been developed by Malvern Hills Car Clubs with Grant support from Malvern Hills District Council.
