Mick’s Way

Mick Davies recently retired as a parish councillor after completing over 10 years which included 8 years representing Welland as its District Councillor from 2015-2023.

During that time he had been active in the creation of the Neighbourhood plan, the acquisition and running of the Community Orchard and had thrown himself in almost every project imaginable including enthusiastically supporting the local arts scene.

His colleagues wanted to say Thank You in an appropriate way so came up with the idea of a voucher for his favourite restaurant, plus naming a newly refurbished path after him. This was especially poignant since Mick had helped to facilitate the refurbished path with available 106 money.
