Footpath improvement project completed at Rosebud Meadow

The first of a series of footpath and car park improvement projects has just been completed!

Published: 22 April 2025

Work has finished on the first of our footpath improvement projects. The Rosebud Meadow path has been upgraded with an all weather surface. Previously the path had become muddy and impassable during winter weather.

We have now started work to resurface the Parish Hall car park. We had planned to coordinate this with the Easter Holiday to minimise disruption to the school – unfortunately due to delays the work now may run until Tues 29th April. Please be mindful of this during the school run – we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Work to improve the Spitalfields car park will follow on from the work at the Parish Hall, so this car park will be out of action for a couple of days between 29th April to 2nd May.
Upcoming projects:
The Footpath on the common from Gloucester Road car park to Boundary cottage will now be delayed until later in the summer, pending further ecology reports.
Work is also planned on two footpaths between Drake Street and Pippin Drive/Kingston Close. There are some final details to be sorted logistically, and it may be that this cannot start until September due to nesting birds.
We will update you on these projects when we know more.
