Summer Bash look back and thanks to all volunteers!
Look back to our hugely successful Summer Bash.
Published: 27 August 2025
What a great day we had back in June at the Summer Bash, it was a treat to meet so many families and friends for a special Sunday afternoon. It was a real Welland Family Festival and planning for next year is already underway. The date will be 21st June 2026.
On behalf of the whole community, the Parish Council would like to thank everyone who joined us at this year’s Bash and everyone below, including many family members, who helped out before, during and after the event. Weeks of organising, donations of cakes, running the stalls, setting up and clearing away and much more; without your help, none of this could happen. Thank you:
Heidi Andrews, Maureen Androlia, Kate Ash, Ollie Black, Oscar Black, Fiona Brittain, Annette Bushell, Joanna Butterworth, Myra Carmichael, Nigel Cartwright, Linda Copping, Graham Croft, Sandie Croft, Nadine Croney, Judy Crosby, Suzanne Currie, Tony Currie, Marge Davies, Mick Davies, Ann Davis, Phyliss Drinkwater, Dave Dyke, Debbie Dyke, Wendy Edwards, Lynn Forrester-Walker, Kay Goodwin, Sandi Guest, David Haddock, Lois Haddock, Valentyna Haines, Diane Hancock, Peter Hancock, Ian Hardicker, Edwin Hardman, Martin Harper, Jo Horrobin, John Lowe, Patsy Lowe, Mandy Maddock, Sally Miles, Jon Mortimer, Viv Nelson, Henrietta Pratley, Nikkie Rosier, Ben Sampson, Rachel Sampson, Barbara Stephens, Mike Street, Madeleine Sumner, Roy Sumner, Annie Talbot, Rachel Tattersall, Kevin Taylor, Doris Underwood, Steph Underwood-Webb, Sarah Whitehead.
Thanks also to the entertainers, stallholders, groups and organisations that supported the event. Your generous contributions helped make this a super event for the village and local charities benefitted too.
The Summer Bash is not set up to be a fundraiser but any surpluses are either set aside to support future events or distributed to local causes and charities. This year the event raised over £2,000 and the PC agreed to make donations to:
Welland Parish Hall Charity £ 400
Welland Residents Charity – £ 100
Pursers Orchard Group Charity – £100
Welland Primary School PTA Charity – £100
Welland Pre School Charity – £100
The Church Clock Restoration scheme – £200.
The remainder to be retained by the Events Group to support future activities.
